It'd be perfect for this Keystone Cops brigade to get busted on a stupid, not-necessary move like that.

There will be lots of juror tampering.

The DOJ has deeper pockets than either one of those two. Try them again and again until you bankrupt them or get a conviction.

The case will likely be in the Eastern District of Massachusetts, which I doubt will be a very Trumpy jury pool.

Crist is a master of spinning political answers. DeSantis might be fucked.

DeSantis and Abbott have the same probability of facing actual criminal penalties as Trump, which is to say, zero.

I don’t see the problem this guy sees.

I would love to see either lose, but man, I'm just not seeing it. Abbott's poll numbers have been falling, but not quickly and steeply enough. He was +7, +5, +2, +3, but the latest one was a +9 for him. Beto hasn't actually won a poll since November 2021 - And McConaughey polled better than him at that point, a somewhat fascinating "what if?" now. DeSantis has had similar margins, with more extensive polling. I think Beto and Crist need to be within a point or two in the early October polls - which would take into account the recent immigration bullshit - for them to have any chance.
