I'm racking my head trying to think of the circumstances of a consensual affair that would warrant a year-long suspension. I imagine there has to be a sexual harassment aspect to this, or someone that reported to him. (Scout, assistant couch, etc.) Beyond that, we're getting into "spouse of a player on the roster" territory.

That's all Utah could get for a guy that could help a contender? And why would you want to spend 13 million on Olynk for an extra season if you are blowing things up? The only thing is you might be able to use his salary in another trade.

 

Maybe they like Saben Lee a lot? Otherwise, yeah, this deal doesn't make any sense. Oleynick costs $5M more over the two years, plus I don't think you're going to get as much for him in a trade as Bogdanovic. Besides liking Lee, I think you only do this if Bogdanovic or his agent has asked for the trade and/or says he's going to be a pain in the ass if he has to play this coming season.

I don't care how "consensual" the relationship is/was; you don't sleep with a subordinate unless you want to subtract $$ from your wallet. Its common sense. If you want to see each other that badly, then one or the other needs to find a new job.

I certainly will not hesitate to vote a partner out or strip them of significant $$ because doing this exposes all of us to tremendous potential liability.
