Here's the KMOX call. From what I'm gathering from this clip, McLaughlin let Rooney have the call.

Pujols getting 700 was one of the coolest moments in my 50+yrs watching.

 

Dodgers love giving up iconic homers to Cardinals.

-- Top 9, Game 6, 1985, Jack Clark

-- 2 grand slams, same inning, by Tatis (who'd never hit a grand slam; the Cardinals drafted Pujols 40 days later with the 402nd pick)

-- 699 and 700 to Pujols

 

Tatis’ slams were off the same pitcher, Chan Ho Park.

 

Or the same manager, No Nee Boolpin.

 

Such a loss. This place was just kitty corner from the site of Seals Stadium and was loaded with Giants, Seals (PCL Seals, that is) and other Bay area sports memorabilia.

I walk with a guy from Burlingame who grew up going to that stadium. He'll be heartbroken when I tell him.

 

So much history (and memorabilia) in that place. Sad. Such a connection to the PCL Seals.

 

A shot in the nuts for Baltimore. Astros get four in the ninth for 11-10 win.
