How many non-playoff drivers have won playoff races in, say, the past 10 years? And now they're 3-for-3 this year. That's kind of wild.

This race has turned into a joke.

Cody Ware taking one of the hardest hits I’ve seen in a while.

Repeated tire failures, a bunch of them involving the leaders, that are making this approach the debacle at Indy years ago.

One car intentionally wrecking another under caution because he was angry that their side panels touched in the corner, and nothing happening after it.

The tire failures won’t bother anybody who remembers bias ply tires, but Goodyear missed the mark with these tires. Cody Ware’s wreck wasn’t that bad.

NASCAR will have something to say to both William Byron and Denny Hamlin after the race.

Spec cars catching on fire is not a good look.

Brake fluid catches on fire when it gets on hot brake rotors. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Another foot or two to the left and he's pulling a Michael Waltrip at Bristol, with a couple pit crews worth of folks standing right there.

Texas has been cursed ever since they opened the place. Jeff Gordon just about killed hisself there in 1999, the transitional banking was a massive failure and the pit entrance and exit was a disaster. Kenny Brack's career ended in the chainlink fence there.

Eddie Gossage promoted the crap out of that place, and there have been amazing races in both NASCAR and IndyCar, but it's not good for either right now.

Outing alert: I'm Mike Hembree. (Mike is good people. Have known him since forever. Racer or Autoweek, maybe?)

Dang, I even completely forgot to mention CART postponing at the last minute because of the G loads.

I'm not watching, but has any other track even attempted that "grip compound" crap they appear to have ruined the surface with?
