Wow. Unless it's six-man or even eight-man, very rare for a team to get into the 70s here.

Seems like we have somebody break 70 every week in this state, including three schools last night. Breaking 60 barely raises an eyebrow. And this is an 11-man-only state.

Ohio has a running clock once the margin hits 30 after halftime. We had a 56-12 game last night in which the winning team ran 30 plays.

The bloom is off the rose in Oil City. Knox 97 yards on 19 carries in a 35-0 loss to Meadville.

We have a doubleheader next Friday.
6-man game at 3:00, because the school doesn’t have lights, then a 45 minute drive to do a 7:00.
    Last 6-man game we did…..96-86.
If you’ve never seen a game, treat yourself to it.
If you get two good teams, it’s a blast.

The most impressive efficiency-wise I ever covered was a wing-T team running the hurry-up scoring 70.

The hurry-up out of the Wing-T makes defenses look like a tired, bewildered 18-month old watching a magician.

“Ooh! I bet the ball is right there! Oops! It’s over there! Now you’ve got my nose!”

One of our teams runs the Flexbone and also has a 4-star WR that they target about 10-12 times a night. They won yesterday to go to 6-0.

It doesn't happen often here, either ... unless the winner is pushing 50 by halftime. And that does happen sometimes.

But when they run the mercy-rule clock like they're supposed to, you can get through a second half in 30-40 minutes. There aren't a whole lot of second-half plays in which to ring up scores in the 60s and 70s.

We were at 48-0 at halftime today and it stayed that way. Finished the game in 95 minutes.

Oh, and this was the view.

Might want to re-word the headline here.
Both Kansas high school football coaches react to Andale winning game by 108-0 score

You don't have to take a knee every time. There are many ways to not run this up.

They scored 30 points in the second half with a running clock. Come on.

See above. We were at 48-0 at halftime today, running clock the full second half and the winning team didn't score again. Threw maybe three times, but with a backup QB, and on like third-and-20-plus.

No complaints from the losing team. Winning team was on like the 5-yard line with four minutes left and the losing team on defense, couple of their kids were imploring their teammates to keep fighting and play hard and keep them out of the end zone. And they did. Good on them.

Don't care if you were playing your scrubs. Having won an earlier game 96-6 shows a pattern of bullshit. Maybe step up from 3A and get a fresh taste of things. There is ZERO excuse for a 108-0 game. ZERO.

    I wasn't sniping at you.
The headline needs work because, if read literally, it might lead the reader to believe there are only two high school football coaches in Kansas.

Sorry. Didn't take it that way from you at all. Just seeing 108-0 in a high school football game with a second-half running clock is just beyond ridiculous.
