That stunned me, because the Tigers, Royals, Padres and Cubs made the playoffs. I don't believe any of those teams had even one player reach 100 RBI.

they also got 91 RBIs from Mike Easler and 67 from Bill Buckner in 111 games. The 1984 Red Sox also had strong years from Boggs, Barrett and Gedman. Shortstop gave them nothing, but they may have had the best 1-8 of the 1980s.

Seeing no more takers, the 1929 Cubs with Hack Wilson, Kiki Cuyler and Riggs Stephenson.

You are correct. In fact, the Royals’ leader that year was Steve Balboni, with a whopping 77. Brett had 69 in 104 games.

Amazing the Tigers had only two guys with more than 80 ribbies -- Parrish, 98; Gibson, 91 -- and yet they still led the league in runs. They did have the most HRs, 187, which was six more than the Sox and 46 above league average. Just an unbelievably well-balanced team, even ranking 6th in the AL in steals. The Sox finished dead last.

Note: The Tigers also led the league in strikeouts.

Will Lutz hit a 60-yard field goal in today's game against the Vikings, making him the third Saints kicker (along with Tom Dempsey and Morten Andersen) to have a 60-yarder. Only one other NFL franchise has achieved that feat. Who is it, and who were the kickers?

Denver would be my first guess. I know McManus has one (but not this year against the Seahawks!). Have to think on the other two kickers.

Jason Elam did it as well for the broncos… so that’s two.

    Broncos. Elam, McManus and Prater.

Have I ever mentioned how much Wikipedia sucks as a source? They didn't have McManus' field goal last season among those listed. So the Broncos and Saints have both done it, and there is also one other team to have done it.
The Broncos' kickers are Matt Prater (64), Jason Elam (63), and McManus (61).
