WOW. Did not see that coming at Wisconsin. Chris McIntosh dropping the blade on Paul. As a note, he never was coached by Chryst so, maybe that took a layer out of it.

    Bert gets the last laugh.

Leonard will get to show if it should be his as he’s been the heir apparent.

Otherwise, they’ll try to get Leipold back to the state.

Wisconsin was/is looking at a high possibility of losing Leonhard after this season, so they clearly want to be in a position to get first crack.

Colorado has to find. young offense guy IMO. I wonder if enough time has passed for Kendal Briles to get a shot. If not there's Dillingham at Oregon. He's always been fast tracked to be a head coach,

Wisconsin wants gourmet meals on an Aldi budget. This feels like a gross overreaction.

THAT is exactly what will happen. Leonhard gets a shot at it. (This happened on the basketball side with Soderberg and Gard when their bosses retired, in-season... one made it, one didn't).

Leipold was a GA there under Alvarez and the state would absolutely come together for him.

Colorado can't even get the headline on firing a football coach today.

I imagine the Badgers will either hire Jim Leohnard or Lance Leipold as their next head coach

Surprised Rick George is surviving this shitshow in Bouler, ala Georgia Tech. He hired Dorrell -- a decision that was utterly ridiculous at the time. Granted, he was dealing with asshole Midnight Mel and that debacle, but still.

Now Dorrell gets nearly $9 million in the buyout and who the hell knows where they turn.

I don't think he'd do it but I wonder if they go way out of the box and try Dave Logan for shits and giggles.

Do they try again for Bienemy?

I’m not sure of the politics of UW athletics. Is the new AD from outside? I’m guessing Alvarez has no sway anymore? That seems like a horrible firing that they’ll be regretting in 2032. Anyway as a Penn State fan, this makes me happy. One less competitive program in the conference.

I think at some point Logan would. I remember reading that Logan applied for the CSU job not that long ago so he might be interested. I also think he would be a disaster. His name recognition is confined within Colorado. I think that at Colorado you have to develop an out of state recruiting base. I don't know where that would be.

I think the biggest problem Colorado has is that they do not appear to have a functioning NIL Program. The secondary sucks. Three starters from last year are starting at programs in the top 20. The wide receivers never have any separation. The two leading receivers from last year are starting at Southern Cal and Iowa State. The best running back is at Michigan State. I strongly suspect all six received more money.

I think the failure to do that is on Rick George and it is time for him to go.
