Ukraine Always Get What You Want

Ukrainians are having a good day in terms of taking back territory.

 

Squirrel has always been troublemaker for Russia.

Ugh. This guy is actually very smart and much smarter than I ever hope to be, but his End Of History book was woefully off the mark. I get it that he was talking about capitalism vs communism but it’s bugged me every since I first read his book in Poli Sci

 

We spend as much on defense as the next 14 countries combined, just to be able to defeat the Russians. Ukraine did it for 2 cents on the dollar. Ukrainians and Israelis fight well because they known if they lose they will all die, their families will all die. Their home and country will cease to exist.

 

Or the Russian people/ Oligarchs decide they've seen enough from Putin.

 

True. But the Ukrainians also are relying a lot on the American military-industrial complex and NATO aid.

 

No, Ukraine is spending about as much as 14 countries combined to be able to defeat the Russians. It's just not their money.
Make no mistake, if the U.S. and Europe weren't paying for this war then Ukraine would be in deep, deep trouble.

Weeb Union normally does posts a couple times a day. He tends to post very quickly and as a overreacts or makes mistakes.

New World Econ waits for additional conformation from more sources and hence is less likely to have to backtrack but also less timely. The guy doing it also is more analytical.

A point made in New World Econ is that neither side has enough men to build trench lines across the whole front. So the war has turned into a series of probes. The Ukrainians are relying on four wheel drives and ATV vehicles. They are far more mobile he Russians and they at times they will penetrate and go a long way quickly. They get behind a Russian defense line and force retreat.

The Russians, on the other had, just pound away and advance three blocks and a pile of bodies at a time.

 

The Ukrainians are running the spread offense and the Russians are running the Dead-T.
