Just to clear the deck, the other team with three 60-yard field goal kickers is the Cardinals — Matt Prater (62), Jay Feely (61) and Chandler Catanzaro (60).
The Cowboys have also had three 60-yard field goals, but they were all by the same guy (Brett Maher).

Since it’s timely, who gave up Roger Maris’ 61st home run?

What was the last team to play a full season without anyone hitting 10 HRs?

The Senators of the 1920s did it sometime I think, when Griffith Stadium was huge.

I know the 1986 cardinals only had 60 home runs on the year, but even as I type this, I’m pretty sure Van Slyke got to double digits.

Will guess one of the late 1970s, early 1980s Astros squads. They didn’t have a lot of power.

I’ll guess the 1930s-era St. Louis Browns.

Very good. The 1979 Astros. Jose Cruz had 9. No power, and the Astrodome combined was a powerful combination.

The Astrodome must have been quite a tomb, and it must have just sapped Astros of their will to hit home runs period.

Cesar Cedeno had a three year stretch of 22-25-26 earlier that decade. For some reason he only had six in 1979, two at home (in 245 home at-bats).

Jeffrey Leonard had some decent power seasons in the 80s. But in 1979 in he had zero home runs anywhere (in 411 at-bats).

I find it funny that both J.R. Richard and Joaquin “The Dog” Andujar each had two, and each getting one at home.

I started thinking of bad places to hit, and the astrodome jumped up. I knew it had to before Glenn Davis and sometime after Cesar Cedeno started to decline.

But, it had an excellent beer garden beyond right center, according to my Dad who lived in DC at the time.
