So did every other player in the American League. Yet none of them hit 62. What’s your point?

Who did the math and calculated he had a better chance to win the Triple Crown because Arraez could go hitless?

Or are they just resting on their laurels, and giving the AL Home Run King a breather, Triple Crown bedamned?

Ohtani walks Vogt with one out in 5th. First baserunner for the A's.
Then Pinder doubles to left, first hit.
    Score 0-0.

Probably the last of Stephen Vogt's 2,060 Major League plate appearances. What a way to go.

So my remote broke or something, and I ended up watching the post game show on the Angels Network, and somehow Bobby Valentine is the host… And he had two interesting things to say. First, noting that all teams play each other next year, he campaign for one MVP instead of splitting it up by leagues Secondly, he pointed out how pitchers will be facing teams only once quite often, and he said that could mean Shohei Ohtani would be even better next year.

I think it's going to hinder scoring even more. Familiarity helps hitters.
