    This is awesome.

The problem is football on Saturday and Sunday. I’m thinking they should do this on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I think that was the original schedule but then they had to add the games from the front of the season because of the lockout -- season was supposed to end on Sunday -- so it pushed everything back

Say all you want about Boomers, but some of our best memories are sneaking radios into class to listen to postseason baseball games, unless you had a cool teacher who would get one of the school TVs on the cart to watch Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek.

I had an assistant coach on my junior high football ream relay me Indians scores during the 1990s for those 4 p.m. starts when we had practice.

The best one was him whispering, “Doc Gooden got thrown out in the first inning of the game. I’m not shitting you.”

The 27th out is hard to get when all's a-pucker.

Meltdown in the ninth at Busch.

Your closer suffers some sort of finger cramping to load the bases. Goldschmidt passes on a sure double play ball (which would have kept it 3-2) to throw home late with the corners in. And then the third baseman whiffs on a bouncing ball. The Cardinals aren't covering themselves in glory right now. Some bad baseball and worse strategy to let a 2-1 lead get to trailing 6-2.

At least all three games are at Busch, some small solace.

My dad got tickets to games 4 and 5 of the 1968 Series
    I was in ninth grade
The football coach yelled at me for skipping practice to go to the Series
I never played before or after the incident

All those people who left Busch Stadium are standing in the parking lot right now, wondering what they should do.
