    Maryland had an extra point blocked earlier on what should have been offsides against Purdue. Left them needing a 2-point conversion to tie. Got it, but wiped out by ineligible man downfield. Second one no good and Boilers survive.

    Yeah, that's what the Chip in my handle is for. Maumann's mostly right. Also hard to find someone who gives a damn when you're that close to a major market and not the biggest university in your own county. This current stretch of four or five MAC bowls in the last eight years is as good as they've ever been.

    Michigan won by 21. I know most of the game was closer than that but it's going to look like a decisive win on paper.
