Or it’s simply baseball and the playoffs are a crapshoot.

I don’t really think you could build a better roster than the Dodgers did.

The dodgers already got a bye. How much more easier do you have to make it?

Battingwise, no question. Except for Bellinger (who they really need to eat that contract and cut ties with. The only reason he's a plus WAR is his defense), top to bottom that roster is a nightmare to get through. But they need to look at pitching, oddly enough for a team that won a combined 217 games in two seasons. They pummeled teams. They were 95-36 in games decided by two or more runs (16-15 in one run games). They had a losing record in extras. They had 50 games decided by 5 or more runs and won 42 of them. Dodgers still would have won the West if they played more close games, but it would have been interesting if they would have needed that last week to wrap it all up.

Would you rather play the 6 seed or the 5 seed? More to the point, if the Mets didn't Mets themselves, Dodgers could have been playing a 101-win team while the Braves got an 87-win team. Football gives a bye to the best team and has them play the lowest seed remaining.

The dodgers probably wanted to play the team they beat 19 of 24 times this year.

I can't understand why you guys spend time with this after the dodgers shit the bed.

Can I both revel in the fact the Dodgers shit the bed again following a 162-game season and ponder if the MLB playoffs should look more like football's playoffs given they now have six teams?

And I also believe no matter who they played, Dodgers would get bounced. First because the Padres bounced them and second because the Phillies have a burr up their butts and probably would have trounced them.

Being Yankees manager ages a person like being the President.

What in the world are the Yankees left fielders doing in this series?

Was he shifted too far to center or did he really think the third baseman could get that?

Couldn't happen to two better fan bases. Hope they enjoyed their Sunday.
