Yankee fans will learn that Josh Naylor is as good at taking it as he is dishing it out. Good guy who is also a psycho.

Their left fielder could have used it. And a helmet.

Because James Karinchak might almost hit him in the face with a pitch?

Two things you might’ve seen at the Capitol on Jan. 6: James Karinchak and Matt Carpenter’s mustache.

Apologies. But he certainly wasn't a good choice in this moment.

Oh, no need for apologies. He is in his current state, a scrub-like quantity. He just imploded so fast Tito didn’t have time to pull the plug.

He wears it in the field.
And if you get hit in the face with a 96 mph fastball, a mouthpiece isn't going to mitigate the result.

The Guardians got a lot out of a weak daily lineup. One great player and a lot of slap hitters. Won a playoff series and terrified MLB against one of the Favored Few.

They have no salary on the books. The ownership really needs to pony up to help this flow of prospects that are still arriving. They’ve got more in the pipeline coming, like Valera in the outfield. I think you’ll see them flip Bieber for a Lindor-like haul next season once their two young pitchers arrive.

Said before, I like the way Cleveland plays. I'm not anti-analytics, just like seeing action with balls put in play. The Mets played the same way before they stopped hitting the last month, and got really impatient against the Braves and Padres.

Teams already doing those things might have a leg up, at least early, next season, with the shift ban. I'm not really in favor of banning the shift. I just accept that it's coming.

When you win 92 games and your division you should also get better attendance than 15,998 per game on average, 6th worst in baseball.
