The New York Yankees are amazed that you can play baseball in drizzle.

Why do I feel that if the Phillies don't win this one, the Padres win the series in seven? I know a sense of impending doom is really strong in Philadelphia fans, but I've had this sense since last night

Well, you don't see the two wild pitches to score a run as a way to lose a game every day.

You also don’t see professional baseball played in a steady rain anywhere but a sandlot usually but here we are thanks to this garage league Rob Manfred runs.

Joe Davis’ coat is eating him.

Smoltz, only in his sportcoat, really wants to give him shit, I bet.

Funny thing is Joe Davis is from Michigan.

When were the Yankees last swept in a LCS? I want to think the Leyland Tigers did it but even that feels like 30 years ago.

Marsh’s beard in this rain reminds me of my pet schnauzer as a kid whenever he went out in a downpour.

A midseason game in these conditions, both teams are in the clubhouse waiting it out. Fear of losing audience to the NFL a factor as well?

They've only been swept three times in a postseason series — the 1922 World Series (a 4-0-1 which included a Game 2 tie because of darkness), and the 1980 and 2012 ALCS.
