I still haven't seen a reliable report on this one, but I keep reading and hearing the rumored casting of Harrison Ford to replace William Hurt as general and Secretary of State Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in the MCU. Hurt first played the role in The Incredible Hulk. He was also in Civil War, Black Widow, and Infinity War. He was 71 when he died earlier this year.

Ford turned 80 this year, which is why I question casting him. Ford has been my favorite actor since I was a kid, but really, he's getting way too old for this shit. He might shift into a voice-acting role if they go the Red Hulk route, but why not cast someone at least a little younger?

Why didn’t Thanos just double the resources?

So, are we far enough out to talk about She-Hulk with spoilers? I just watched the last two episodes again last night with my daughter, who came home for the weekend. She hadn't seen them yet. She laughed out loud at a few parts, though the walk of shame just got a giggle. (That's still my favorite scene.)

Hulk's revelation at the end got a loud "What the fuck?" out of her. I thought it was odd how they did it, but I assumed that was coming at some point.

My wife loved She-Hulk, although the ending was kind of too meta for her, and Ms. Marvel remains her favorite. I understand what they were going for in the last episode, but honestly, you're never going to appease or appeal to the logic of the incel-y types. As a result, the episode kind of played like a Gainax Ending.

It was a parody of screenwriting and the critics of Kevin Fiege.

Everyone wanted a tiny town ending, which is what was happening when everyone knew everyone else and were in the same location, but they gave us a what-the-fuck-happened-fight-scene and random character drop.

I know it was a parody of the larger issues Marvel has. However, if you're just kind of enjoying the show week to week and not really connected to the larger Marvel stuff, it comes as a big "wtf?"

No doubt. I understand why people have trouble with it, many for very good reason. And yes, the incels were never going to like this show. You definitely need an understanding of the MCU and the criticisms it faces to fully appreciate the episode.

That said, Tatiana Maslany is fantastic. She makes a lot of it work, even some of the more ridiculous elements.

Maslany is definitely going to be in the next team-up movies, yeah. That's kind of what some of these TV shows feel like - auditions for the Avengers, haha. I think she and Miss Marvel have come off great, whereas Moon Knight was kind of disappointing and seems like a self-contained one-off now. Loki also did a great job of "holding" on to his star status, while bringing along Sylvie and Kang (Majors) as interesting characters to follow as well. (BTW, I'm buying up alllllll the Jonathan Majors stock I can right now. I think him as Kang is as much of a "nailed it" as casting Brolin as Thanos.)

I'm curious to see how they use the characters from the shows. Supposedly, her next appearance will be in Daredevil: Born Again.
