The Good Nurse on Netflix. Solid flick, with the always great Jessica Chastain with the mannered, off-putting Eddie Mayne as the main character.

Black Phome on a plane. Well done. Love the 70’s vibe. Ethan Hawke is excellent.

@Azrael, it's been a while since I browsed Tubi. There's always something that feels like buried treasure on there.

It takes a little looking, but there's always something.

I was in there rooting around for the Ian McKellan Richard III when I found it.

PS, just found this on YouTube while I was looking for a reference piece.

It's the full length National Theater / Branagh MacBeth from 2013.

    Gack. Typos, man.

@Azrael That version of Richard III is great in the way it feels like they're unpacking each scene to find whether the tropes are correct or if there's something more. It's not the change in period, it's the cast and the direction.

Branagh's MacBeth? Yes, please! (And thank you!)

Saw Benedetta, directed by Paul Perhoeven. Two young nuns fall in love in a 17th century convent in Tuscany. One of them starts to believe she's possessed by Jesus Christ.

This is a very Paul Verhoeven film.

I was out of the country for the one day that I think it played in theaters but caught it on Showtime last night. I really liked it! Perfect role for Hamm. Obviously much different than the quote-fest of Chevy's original but I think it worked well as a nice comedic mystery and just a fun watch. Plus, with the Lakers giving me zero pleasure on the court this year, it's at least nice to see Fletch wandering around again in his Lakers hat.

Tonight doing a tripleheader of Tar, Black Adam and The Banshees of Inisherin (one of those is not like the others...). As someone who still watches In Bruges every few months, can't wait to see McDonagh, Farrell and Gleeson back together.

Can't remember if I linked to this or not.

    Full Andrew Scott Hamlet.

    Tremendous.

Weirdly, happily, if you have HBO Max, you can stream the 1955 Olivier Richard III.

    Streaming update from Nerdland:

The incredible 1972 Antony and Cleopatra written, directed and over-acted by Charlton Heston is available at Tubi. So bad it's . . . really, remarkably bad.

Conversely, this 2018 version from the National Theater, is terrific.
