    "To assume" that? For God's sake ... of course it's unreasonable to "assume" that. Now it may turn out to be a politically motivated attack, but I'll lay 50 to 1 right now that it won't turn out to have been one.

    The GOP will blame "crime in liberal cities", the Dems "Q nuts" and they both might be right. That an assailant is in custody is comforting and should limit various theories from gaining steam.

    Lots of possibilities. Home invasion; drunken fall; hookup gone wrong, political thuggery, etc., ad inf.

    More interesting to me that there wasn't sufficient security present to prevent it.

    Oh BTW, Shell announced record-breaking profits the other day. Lots of refineries must have been off-line around the world.

    PS: Didn't see Inky's post before posting this. But no one is profit-taking or gouging, their margins on a gallon/litre are barely enough to stay in business!
