    Seeing my kids watch it for the first time was kind of cool, though.

    You should watch the trailer. Everyone's back except Darren McGavin (dead) and Melinda Dillon (retired 15 years ago). It looks cute, actually.

    Looks pretty cute. I'm sure I'll see it on my own at some point. My wife has an irrational hatred of the first movie. She can't really explain it.

    I wonder if they recast the mother role with Julie Hagerty, or if she's playing an aunt or something. (The original movie character is listed as Mother Parker, this one is listed as Mrs. Parker).

    just saw you said that, would have to think it's the same role
