This is very fair. He's not a bad guy in the Deshaun Watson sort of way. Just a pain in the ass. It's all completely understandable taking one look at his Dad, the Stage Dads to end all Stage Dads. He's been thrust into the spotlight since childhood and the price for that is stunted maturity. It is actually a miracle, as Shottie notes, he didn't turn into Todd Marinovich. But he's an ass to deal with, both for writers and staffers, and if he's not happy, he drags down an entire team, as he did with the Nationals in 2018. It's sorta wild he's now willing the Phillies to the edge of a title.

This is the first time the WC was more than 1 game.

Seems like there's a #30for30 to be had with Harper and Portnoy.

This is going to be 2-2, I think.

Yeah. Javier's stuff doesn't look that frightening on TV, but nobody can hit it further than 120 feet. He's got to be hitting his spots on the out pitches to the millimeter.

Don't think Baker had much choice here. The idea is to win the Series.

Would Javier get another start? Only three days rest to Game Seven.

Who else do you go with? Your other guy was either tipping pitches or was so predictable with the breaking ball guys were swinging with both cheeks. Or bullpen.

On short rest, perhaps, or spot use. This time of year it's all hands on deck.

Fucking wild that Cristian Javier might start TWO combined no-hitters, one against a Yankees team on pace for 120 wins and another in the World Series against a team playing at home one night after blasting six homers.
