Been some great defense in the late innings, including that catch!

If it only happened in 2017, probably.

Even with that blemish, it’s remarkable from where the Astros came. I mean, they were a special level of bad in the early 2010s, like a AA team trying to play in the majors. The trust in the process paid off for them.

If you can explain to me how the Astros' bullpen is stealing the Phillies' batters thoughts, I'll consider this team cheaters, too.

And Bonds still had to hit the ball.

The cheating should both be forever part of their franchise's legacy and also not diminish what they'll do with one more win. This team is almost completely turned over from the 2017 champs and their best pitchers, beyond Verlander, were dudes they signed as overaged teens for pocket change. They've lost Springer and Correa, two all-time franchise players, in back-to-back years, and haven't missed a beat. The Astros are run by scumbags, but scumbags who know what the fuck they are doing.

I got to see Chas McCormick play 8-10 games a year at Millersville University throughout his college career. Coming out of D-II, he had to prove himself every step of the way.

    Good guy, too.

    Yes all of this and

I was responding to the announcer seemingly trip over himself to not talk about the cheating scandal. Completely valid to say they need to win another series to be considered a dynasty after losing two since 2017. But that isn’t the only reason the dynasty is in question by some is all I’m saying and the announcer should at least give token acknowledgement. It was just weird to hear Fox want to say something about 2017 but not.

There have probably been a few better catches than that one, but considering when it took place, that's got to rank pretty high in the history books. Houston played some freaking good defense in that game overall. Pena made a couple of outstanding plays and made them look easy.

I still think Dusty should have bunted with a runner on third and no outs. I did enjoy the game. Say what you will about baseball, these two teams show their emotions on their sleeves.

It was a drawn in infield. You would have needed one helluva bunt from your DH and probably run a suicide squeeze. With in infield in, odds for a hit go up, first, and all you need is a fly ball to the outfield, second.
