Musk took on $12 billion in debt to make this deal, and Twitter is on the hook for a billion a year in interest. The same Twitter that has only made a profit intermittently.

Gen. Smedley Butler set back the forces of fascist capital some nine decades but they’re finally wheeling back around to finish the job.

“We are effectively hoping that Elon Musk can be embarrassed into changing his mind, as there is really nothing else to wield against him - he is not breaking any laws, he does not need more money, and he appears to be single-mindedly dedicated to proving that he’s correct, even if it means choosing the wrong thing as many times as he can in a 24 hour period.”

You know one of the strongest guardrails from making mistakes? Owing people money you can't repay.

Yeah, but Elon's the kind of guy who may go broke but he'll never miss a meal. Nobody's going to come for his kneecaps.

If you owe the bank $100 that's your problem. If you owe the bank $100 million, that's the bank's problem.

You think this was a coincidence? This guy has taken advantage of the (mostly left) wealthier environmentally conscious types for years with cars most people later say are junk. Now he’s pandering to the right. Fuck him.

    Excellent.

    1. Create fake profiles of important Republican politicians.
    2. Pay $8 for the blue check mark.
    3. Tweet out a concession speech for every single race to the Democratic opposition.
    4. Profit.
