This thread has me remembering my Mom, who died 32 years ago. I remember her laughing when she heard "Dave Butz" on TV. Her other funny one was when Bob Boozer was on the Lakers. "I didn't know they let boozers play basketball," she said.

A throwback to when it was fun to be a Washington football fan. RIP, Dave.

Should have had her watch a NASCAR race. She would have had a field day with Dick Trickle.

When I was a kid I went to a public appearance by Redskins players at an area steak place. Rusty Tillman, Pete Wysocki and Dave Butz were there. Tillman grabbed the mike at one point and he and Wysocki started singing: "Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl, Earl, Earl, Earl of Butz, Butz, Butz."
