Agreed. Ream is likely a call-up for cover and as a locker room guy. With all the youth on this roster, a Frankie Hejduk-type veteran who also provides cover at a thin position is worthwhile.

England have been a certain loss for the U.S. since 1950 and Belo Horizonte. The international record indicates otherwise.

If gives hard cores something to talk about, just like NFL training camps. Steffen not making the team is still a head scratcher and given that Turner isn’t 100% healthy, even stranger.

So one match in 72 years? Maybe we should make sure that Rob Green is in goal for England again.

U.S. women drop their third consecutive match, this one to Germany. They play again on Sunday in Harrison, NJ.

I know the men play in a few weeks, but the women haven't lose three in a row in almost 30 years. While the competition hasn't been crap, this is not a side accustomed to losing in bunches.

Looks like Ronaldo gave an interview to Piers Morgan which aired tonight and blew up the remainder of whatever was left of his United career.

The training of Qatar's media handlers might not have been the most thorough.

The NCAA would be all over FIFA for lack of institutional control.
