My point being that she conceded in 2016 and Trump did not.

If anyone wants to say Clinton is an election denier that’s an important difference.

Hillary was also hoping that the DNC would throw some disputed delegates her way in '08 - some states jumped the gun on their primaries and there was a question of whether those delegates would "count."

And don't get me started on '16. The party was in the bag for her - which I understand - but between letting Hillary pick the primary debate schedule to minimize her exposure to other actions meant to hurt Bernie - it told me she wasn't ready for prime time. She would have been a very good President, but I think her inability to let anybody "in" and poor choice in staff, didn't help her.

Trump has retreated deep within the Fuhrerbunker.

If they just opened up the polls and let the chips fall where they may, do you think Bernie would have gotten the nomination in 2016?

Fuck that unnamed adviser and everyone else suddenly clutching their pearls. They enabled the whole Trump machine for the last 7 1/2 years, since he rode down the escalator.

Couldn't have been Putin. Based on his failings in Ukraine, his machine would have short-circuited.

But enough about the 1997 Heisman Trophy. . . .

They did open up the polls. There were many many primaries, some of which Bernie won, but most of which Clinton won, decisively. She got the majority of votes cast in the US in Democratic primaries. The party's voters chose her. Any other interpretation of the events leading up to her nomination are a foolish conspiracy theory.
