Speaking of slow counts, there are an estimated 1 million votes left to be counted in Los Angeles County alone, and as many as 4 million in the entire state of California. This is par for their course. The state's so blue the rest of the country doesn't notice, because statewide races get called so early, but this time, there are a handful of House seats with close races and a House that as of yet has not gone to either party. So there's gonna be even more gnashing of pundit teeth.

One thing you have to remember is Hillary won nearly all the primaries and Bernie won almost all the caucuses
Michigan was the only big primary Bernie won

How is going with the person who received more votes “against the will of the people “?!

    And the Superdelegates were
Because neither got a 50+1 majority of the elected delegates.

A plurality of the people chose Clinton. A majority of the party put her over the top.

Again not saying Clinton should not have been the nominee but the rules of the party—for whom the candidate was going to represent to become president—made it so someone with more votes could lose. It was in place specifically to stop someone like Bernie from riding a populist wave and capture the nomination against the establishment. And that was Bernie’s ultimate argument that the game was rigged against him by the establishment to lose. It didn’t help that Donna Brazil ran her mouth about it.

But this election was for the nomination for a political party not some government agency. If the party is not satisfied with the nominee, why can’t they make a change? It’s their party their rules.

Again, there was a path for Bernie to win because under the rules, the Democrats could have made it happen. So this nonsense of Bernie just threw out some crazy theory is indeed nonsense. It. Was. The. Literal. Rules.

Hmm the number is back to 1,951. Must have been a rural dump.

If they did make it happen, though, it would have been against the will of the people.

And that doesn’t change that Bernie wasn’t wrong.

I mean it hasn’t been that long since the parties were back room dealing to get someone chosen. It’s only been a short while they cared about the will of the people. And there’s nothing that forces parties to hold elections. They do it for appearances. In the end, it’s still an organization not a governmental seat.
