Wrong. Ballots and votes are the same thing.

Curious if people ask how Walker will function in a Trump-less GOP.

Walker is out there working on expanding his voter base, but it will be at least 18 years before they can vote.

He’ll expect them to vote absentee.

Krugman adjusts Florida's numbers wrt California's for population . . . but not for the age of the population.

California has 18 million more people than Florida (almost double) . . . but only 1.28x (1.3 million) more people over 65.

California had 1.2x more COVID deaths than Florida, very close to the 1.28x difference in population of elderly.

Most Californians are happy with the way they handled COVID.
Most Floridians are happy with the way they handled COVID.
Why isn't that good enough for people?

***DQ will correct me if I've massively fucked up this reasoning

California didn’t suppress the count either…

I'd be more interested to read how many died in California compared to Florida after the vaccine was widely available.

California had some wicked numbers from rural conservative areas that bought into the vaccine is evil lie. But yeah, would be interesting.

I’m trying to remember. California had that thing where the governor had the state police raid the home of a scientist who didn’t want to fudge the numbers, yes?

It might not show all that much. It wasn't long after the vaccine became "widely" available that it also became widely ineffective because of new strains. By the time I got my first booster, the old strain it was developed for had long been replaced.

Yeah, I remember that big rash of fully vaccinated people who died because the vaccines were ineffective.
