Yeah I assumed we were, and I assume it/you are both correct. I’m more questioning my own understanding of the rules around the DH and pitchers hitting.

I thought of Clemens too so I looked him up. Strangely enough he got a hit in his first career at-bat. He also hit .207 as a 42-year-old pitcher. I guess steroids work.

Clemens also isn’t in the Hall of Fame.

I was trying to think of HOF pitchers who spent their entire careers in the AL in that sweet spot between the introduction of the DH in 1973 amd the start of interleague play in 1994 or '95. Morris was the only one I could think of.

Balboni didn't make his debut until the 80s with the Yankees.

Rivera did draw a bases loaded walk off Francisco Rodriguez in a memorable game against the Mets at Citi Field. He also got his 500th career save in that game.

Ok, here is what looked like what happened. Mike Heath entered the game as a pinch hitter for the dh, but then took the field. That means the DH rule was out? Now, why he pinch hit got Trammell? Instead of his own slot?

In 1998, two sets of brothers started in the same MLB lineup for the first time. Can you name the brothers?

The Padres had a bunch of brothers and siblings and one time, but I think it was later. Still, I'll guess Tony and Chris Gwynn and Adrian and Edgar Gonzalez.
