    It's a sprawling district (27 counties), going from the far northwest corner, down to the southwest corner then east all the way out to Pueblo. Also, voters have until Wednesday to do what's called "curing" ballots that were initially rejected because of missing signatures or signatures that didn't appear to match what's on file. Also, ballots from military and overseas voters can be postmarked by 7 p.m. on Election Day and have a Wednesday deadline to arrive to be counted.

    Also, I'm guessing the vast majority of ballots weren't dropped off until Monday and Tuesday and it takes time to count them. Even in Denver County, more than half the ballots weren't dropped off until Monday and Election Day even though ballots went out three weeks ahead of time.
