Pardon the cliche, but even if you beat him, can you say you've gotten rid of him, even when he's dead, or just contained him? I can see the conspiracy theorists and racists losing influence when he's gone without someone prominent to champion their causes.

Votes being updated in the Boebert race now that military out-of-state ballots and the "curing" of ballots deadline hit at midnight. Her lead has shrunk by 25 votes. Still leads by about 1,100.

So will Pelosi still be the target of GOP ire if she is a backbencher?

Maybe she gets the message to STFU and start working for her constituents. Doubtful, but one can hope.

Does Steny Hoyer get the Bill Guthridge treatment, or do the Dems go straight for the main vein and elevate AOC?

Steny won't even get his team to a Final Four. Hard pass. His sell-by date was about 2002. I'd have more faith in Jack Murtha, if he were still alive.

I could get behind Schiff. He would be good at trolling the cons.

Adam Schiff is the No. 1 Democrat in America and there's not even a 2, 3, 4, or 5.

Schiff is starting his play for Senate. He's already said no to a leadership spot.

Yup, he's eyeing Feinstein's seat. Unless Newsom appoints himself if she steps down earlier.
