Something called a Biff Poggi is the next coach at Charlotte. No word if the almanac is coming with him.

Profiled by Bruce Feldman recently. Harbaugh’s consigliere at Michigan. He’s 62. Very odd.

First time reporter asks him a tough question: "No comment, butthead."

What does that say about Harbaugh sticking around? That looks pretty bad.

The guy was coaching in high school for the 2020 season -- it's not like he's been at Michigan since Harbaugh started. I don't think it means anything more than the fact he's had three DCs the last three years

Given the recent television deals I think there are very few Pac 10, the Big 12 or the ACC schools that could come up witht he money to hire an SEC or Big 10 coach away.

Biff Poggi sounds like a Gil Thorpe character. Or a chum of the Hardy Boys, like Chet Morton.

I could see someone like Kingsbury or Jr. Briles getting the Auburn gig.
I’m thinking K2 has had quite enough of the NFL.

There really aren't many examples of whacking the head coach for the purpose of giving the interim a runway to justify the top job, are there?
Can you think of any others?

I don't know if it was planned that way, but Ed Orgeron played his way into the job as LSU's interim coach after Les Miles was fired.
