I'd like to log an official complaint that Fox is going to commercial instead of showing the arm-folding lineup GIFs. Also, they've added jersey badge popping to the list.

Nothing says incongruous like an El Tri fan in a Yankees cap.

I agree but what would you have done differently? I would have liked us to play more over the top once Wales pressed but we just don’t have great options in our back 4

Some folks have noted that he has actually offered some useful commentary and he and Ian seem to enjoy working with each other (though the references to Landon's playing career are already getting tiresome). I think the problem is that his whiny voice kind of makes it hard for him to sound like he gives a shit about anything.

Even if the U.S. make the next stage, they'll wind up with some ridiculous first-game opponent like the Argenti ... scratch that.

Imagine if Memo played for Spain or Brazil or a team like that. Tri with life because Poland should kill Saudi Arabia. Should make for a fun final day for that group.

Someone, I think Carl Anka of The Athletic, made the excellent point that the decision in 2021 to re-sign CR7 is prime evidence of the dysfunction which he complained about. And minimizing his role in the team this year is evidence that they are finally making solid decisions.
