The abrupt transition from late-running World Cup game to Skip and Shannon is going to give me the vapors. That said, maybe there's some sort of obscure accent Derek Rae can employ on their names.

We basically knew this, and they managed to fool enough people in the back nine of qualifying to get away with it, but this Costa Rica team is ass. At this point, I'm just waiting to see if Calvo, who played for MNUFC does something stupid that immediately leads to a goal or a red card.

 

Goal differential might be tough on Costa Rica the rest of the way.

The random appearance of astronaut Chris Hadfield on the Canada bench during the anthems was absolutely my favorite moment of the tournament thus far. I think every team should have one famous person just to show off their country.
