Agreed. But don't infractions committed as an SEC member prove that It Just Means More?

He’s right. That new contract is as good as the paper it’s printed on. Means nothing.

ESPN says Nebraska is targeting Rhule.

It’s a good get for them, not sure if it’s a good move for Rhule other than a paycheck. He fails here, like everyone has in the last 20 years, and he’s not getting another P5 job.

I hope Matt Rhule avoids Lincoln. Nebraska's overall situation, combined with delusion and having Trev Alberts as his AD, could make Scott Fitterer's inability to get a decent quarterback in Charlotte look like a minor quibble.

If Matt Rhule could clean up the toxic waste dump that was Briles-era Baylor, there’s no reason to be scared of Big Red.

Easier to get talent to Waco, which has proven it can win more recently than in Lincoln. And will that fan base give Rhule at least 2-3 years to get the program in place? Rhule has gotten it done in Philly and Waco, but neither were overnight success stories.

Rhule went from 2-10, taking over for a Steve Addazio that did nothing but draft off Al Golden’s heat for two years and bounce, to 10-4 in three years. I think he’ll be just fine in Lincoln. He’s the only coach PSU could hire that would truly scare me because I think he would get them to Ohio State level and bury the local competition instead of the bogus pretenders they are now.

It better. Are they not tired of re-starts by now? Yes, I realize that fan base is completely out of touch with reality. Frankly, Nebraska football can suck for eternity, for all I care.

A lot was made of Scott Frost's horrible record in one-score games, and rightly so. But doesn't that also make the case that a good coach who can figure out how to squeeze out the few plays that would make the difference in those games could turn that thing around pretty quick? If not national titles, then at least making regular appearances in the Big Ten championship game?

This is probably why I don't want it to happen. C'mon, Nebraska, hire James Franklin already.

That would be quite a topographic swap. At least in Lincoln, Franklin wouldn’t need a compass to determine east-west north-south.

Matt Rhule led Baylor to a conference championship game and one win away from a playoff in year 3
