I think Arroyo is a victim of the false expectations the new stadium created. UNLV believed that when the team moved into the new stadium recruiting would improve and the school would turn into another Boise State. Then the school could join the Pac 12.

This is, of course ludicrous. But totally predictable. The city was created with the monies from people who thought they could beat the casino.

I think Colorado would pay a lot more than South Florida. The school was paying Karl Dorrell about four million dollars a year and would pay Sanders more. Does South Florida have that kind of money.

They still have to be an odds-on favorite for the 12th team if the Pac does expand, after SDSU. The conference has so many Vegas tie-ins and the market might just be too big for the league to ignore.

Dillingham is that new age of coach that learned everything he knows about football from a textbook. Got his start as a GA seven years ago and was basically gifted OC jobs at Auburn, FSU and Oregon. Arizona State football will go strictly by whatever the analytics say to do. He's a total believer in them. Maybe it works. Maybe it doesn't.

The only difference between Hugh Freeze and Gus Malzahn is maybe Malzahn has a semblance of a soul and occasionally shows decency. Liberty lost 49-14 to New Mexico State this weekend. Has New Mexico State EVER scored 49 points on another FBS opponent?

As much as James Franklin gets dumped on here, Auburn could do worse. He's won in the SEC before (at Vanderbilt no less) and he and Jajuan Sieder will bring home the bacon in recruiting. I would also dump some money Mike Norvell's way and see if FSU can match it. Norvell loves recruiting those areas that Auburn plucks talent from. Dave Doeren? It's a good job as long as the right people like you.

Today I learned that Jake Spavital was the coach at Southwest Texas State until today.

Gus Malzahn is light years ahead of Hugh Freeze in the ethics department. He’s easily the most decent human being to be an Auburn coach in the last 40 years.

That is setting a very, very low bar.

Something real bad must be going down off the field; a 5-7 MAC team is always a couple magical transfers away from 8-4 and that coveted trip to the Pizza Pizza Bowl at Ford Field.

Less than 20 years after trying to secretly hire Bobby Petrino and getting busted, Auburn has finally reached the bottom. WAR EAGLE!
