It’s fascinating…warnock’s lead has shrunk from double digits to barely a point as the vote total went from 45 percent to 55 percent, but the needled went as high 2.8 percent margin. (Now back to 1.2)

I mean he did encourage his followers to invade DC, overthrow the government and murder them, so yeah they might have an issue with him.

Same-day rural vote getting counted faster than same-day city/population centers.

Walker doing pretty well. Going to be super tight.

City precincts always come in last.

According to NBC, while the voting totals have flipped to Walker, they said watch 5 counties and in those Warnock is exceeding his performance in those counties relative to the prior elections by at least 5-10% so maybe that's a bellweather. And yeah, the rural counties are almost all over 95% counted but the metro areas around 55%.

The big tell will be the precincts in metro Atlanta that just closed. I'm not surprised Warnock did well in absentee and advance voting, but did Democrats continue to add to that lead on Election Day? Right now, places like Gwinnett and Fayette are way bluer than in November, but that may change as today's ballots get scanned.

What I'm also seeing is a slight drop in Walker support in the rural counties, maybe just enough of voter fatigue to keep Warnock in office. Walker needs to exceed his November numbers, not just hold serve.

He's never winning another election, and his support of candidates does not give many of those candidates a boost.

Look, if you don't know what I'm saying, so be it. But I'm talking about politics here. Of course he's a villain and a bad guy. I'm saying Democrats have all kinds of tools in their political bag to use against Trump. Not as many against DeSantis.

The Post profile on him a couple months ago was really good. He seems like the type of right-wing redneck I’d share a few beers with.

    Yes. And no.

While they are happy for him to be the boogeyman that chases moderates and sane Republicans away, they also know he and his followers represent a danger to the republic itself and would be OK if he disappeared today.
