I don't know. My rule of thumb in my newspaper days was don't blame a kid because their parents were assholes.
But in Cruz's case, I think it's a valid question because he is a lawmaker.
If a lawmaker's family member who recently came out as bi or whatever cuts themselves in the days following that lawmaker voting against gay rights, it's a valid conversation. Leave the kid personally out of it. Call out the lawmaker. If that lawmaker doesn't think their own family member is worthy of respect and rights, they shouldn't be making laws for a country.

Is it possible to give the kid ultimate privacy while shaming the father (and mother, for that matter, for enabling this garbage) for being a vile pig? Because, if there is, I wanna' choose that option.

Almost like when the Clinton WH allowed 9/11, remember that? And when Obama caused the meltdown of 2008?

Remember of course Cruz stood by helplessly when some reckless irresponsible politician attacked his wife for being ugly and accused his father of being in on the JFK assassination.

For much of the history of the US, either of those incidents would have prompted Second Amendment responses.

True, but that's more of an indictment on much of the history of the U.S. than it is Cruz.

"There were no bad days - they were all wonderful days." Trump lacks empathy and self-reflection, which is why he can be shit on for 40+ years in popular culture after multiple bankruptcies and personal failings, and still act like his shit doesn't stink.

Say his name, say his name

    Crying like a big baby

Until covid hit, I don't think Trump had a really bad day, as in existentially bad. Nothing was sticking to him, as usual. He was going to cruise to re-election.

But if not for Chyna Virus.

I don’t think Ted Cruz is suddenly going to become a popular despot if I take the day off from shitting on him. And I’d bet a few popular Team Donkey folks are privately reaching out to their co-worker as well with sympathy during a hard time.

(And yes I recognize this is weird coming from me after I already showed my ass on another thread this morning.)
