I don't disagree about GA. Yes, get better GOP candidates and I'm okay with that because then we'll be back to being a true democracy, not a clown show on the World's stage.

The GQP seemed to be seeing what depth of idiot its voters would accept. It has now found the floor. Herschel Walker was one of the very few candidates who could not win based on “name recognition” alone. (That is the only reason why Tommy Tuberville is in the Senate, and it is why incumbency is the main predictor of victory in US politics.)

Having found the floor does not make the GQP less dangerous. Nearly ANY other Republican candidate would have won that seat. A Republican Votebot would have won that seat — an otherwise non-sentient being who just hits the red button.

Not even the Republicans could embrace a candidate who was completely stupid. They will still gladly vote for unqualified, treasonous, or corrupt, as long as that person (or bot) hits the red button at the right time.
