Following up from a long ago question. Someone had asked if COVID antibody screening was a routine part of a physical now. I still don't know the answer to that question, but I had my annual physical recently, and got the tests without asking. I'm fortunate and grateful to have excellent health insurance.

Two tests, one if you have antibodies from actually having a case of COVID. The other measures a spike, showing if you've been vaccinated/boosted.

Somehow, someway I've never had it. We were careful, especially in 2020/early 2021. Once we got vaccinated, careful but much less so. Most of this year? Not really careful at all.

I'm pretty surprised. Been in big crowds and tight quarters. Just lucky I guess.

    Or scotch provides immunity.

Chrissy Hynde wrote her song 40 years in advance. The whole state is gone.

Two and a half years, four vaccines, and 200,000 miles of flying, and it finally caught up to me Thursday. I’m in a foreign land now, so I have to go by its rules — self-isolation for 7 days, which will just allow me to catch my departing flight but completely shuts down the work I needed to do here. I’ve felt worse, but not much.
