    It should be mentioned that W. Lafayette is just a three hour drive from Louisville. It's not like he was on the other side of the country.

    Stanford search appears to be focused on Sac State's Troy Taylor after Jason Garrett pulls out.

    Always thought Taylor would end up at Cal eventually. He's done a good job at Sac State, but Stanford will be something else. Odd hiring cycle for the Pac-12. Dillingham to ASU seems pretty standard, but Deion to CU and Stanford not getting a national name is noteworthy. Conference's uncertain status going forward obviously has something to do with it.

    Mississippi Valley State head coach Vincent Dancy resigned to take a job on Deion's staff at Colorado. I think that qualifies as Dancy owing him a life debt.

    I find it sad, because the guy always seemed to have the right priorities. But 2-5 in his last seven games against West Point.

    I have always respected him. Where does he go from here? Can he retire? Position coach at Hawaii, perhaps?
