I was dreaming when I posted. Forgive me if it goes astray.

 

Many years ago, I played in a hoops league with people from my first job. We are up 2 with about 10 seconds to go and just as the other team shoots and makes a go ahead 3 pointer, the toddler daughter of one of our players had crawled/walked onto the court and the ref blew the whistle just as the shot went up. Needless to say, the other team didn’t think it was so cute.

I hadn’t realized before just how loaded this Saturday’s schedule is. Five matchups between ranked teams. To hell with the Toilet Bowls.

Indiana vs. Kansas
Bama vs. Gonzaga
Houston vs. Virginia
UCLA vs. Kentucky
Tennessee vs. Arizona

 

Sure wish playing the Nos. 7, 8, 9, 15 and 20 teams out of conference would help come March. But it never does.

 

I would be shocked if Texas didn’t fire Beard.

I read in the Austin American-Statesman today that his contract includes a provision that being charged (not convicted) with a felony is a "for cause" fireable offense and that it's a standard part of Texas' coaching contracts.

I'd guess "suffocating defense" is now on the "things you can't say on a UT broadcast" list.
