Can't believe Navy canned their coach in the locker room after that game. Most wins in program history - by 50 games no less. (and sure, most losses too) but still. Give the guy a dignified sendoff.

Chet Gladchuk isn't the best guy. He's the same guy who oversaw a mess in the BC hockey program. Mike Milbury left the Bruins front office to take the coaching job. The story goes that he found out the old coach promised too many scholarships. Milbury walked. Who knows how accurate that is. It worked out because they got Jerry York, who turned out to get the most wins in school history.

Barring a miracle of biblical proportion, Mississippi State will be looking for a new HC after losing Cohen to Auburn five weeks ago. That'll complicate things for stability, for sure.

No, it's not like Twitter would be fertile ground for #RIPCoachLeach disinformation. Naw.

Edit: Bill Snyder had tweeted that Leach died.

"Alright guys, the busses back to Annapolis leave in two hours, everyone load up outside the locker room.

"Uh, not so fast, Ken, no need to hurry."

Obviously it is a minuscule concern in comparison, but State is in deep shit. Portal season is open and even if no one is going to exit under the immediate circumstances it is pretty safe to say they won’t be bringing in their share of transfers. Early signing starts in nine days, and your entire team’s identity is wrapped up in your stricken head coach, who is also your play caller. You have a bowl game to prepare for that suddenly nobody is interested in but is suddenly a job audition because who knows what happens to the staff after this. And if you try to write off 2023 with an interim coach, you absolutely will get wholesale transfers out once the shock wears off a little. But if you bring in someone new who isn’t all in on the Air Raid, there’s a massive multi-year retooling that could look like Georgia Tech shedding the triple option.

Not that the bowl game means anything, but they've also lost their best receiver and one of their best running backs to the portal, and their best cornerback has declared for the NFL draft.

Yeah. That's what I was getting at. The program wasn't in the best shape to begin with. Throw all this in, and you won't get anyone from farther away than Scooba.

Unless Hail State has a booster that'll buy out Deion in Boulder.
