Or have the dilly-dally regents approved it?

Holy hell does this AD come off like an asshole.

Niumatalolo: Navy fired me right after loss to Army

"This didn't come down to a fumble, or even a lost game on Saturday," Gladchuk said. "These goals and expectations have been set for years. ... I think about our corporate relationships. I think about our television exposures. I think about our responsibility to the conference, our alumni."

"That's been the constant bar we strive for, is to achieve those two goals, which I believe are very realistic, very reasonable and have been consistent for 20 years and therefore this does not come as any surprise," Gladchuk said. "It's just an expectation that unfortunately fell short."

"I spoke directly to his representatives, who asked me exactly that question," Gladchuk said. "I conveyed it to them and I conveyed it for 20 years to the head coach ... there's no confusion with regard to what the expectations are. And I think they're realistic, they're reasonable, they're attainable. They're expected. They're resourced. I can't make it any clearer."

Also from this article I learned:
    1. Navy can't redshirt anyone because the government requires midshipmen to graduate in four years
    2. Navy is the only service academy with afternoon classes
    3. Navy shares its practice facility with the gymnastics team?

As to 1, the other academies were letting their players take the extra year granted by the NCAA. N was hamstrung then fired. Good to see Gladchuk et al getting roasted on this.

I can't imagine Mississippi State plays its bowl game.

Chris Beard was the basketball coach at UNLV for 19 days before he moved to Texas Tech. Tubby Smith left Lubbock unexpectedly and Beard jumped. I believe Texas Tech just paid his buyout.

Colorado is coming up with 11 million to buy off the previous staff. Even if Deion costs 15 million I think Mississippi State can borrow against the new television contract to pay off Colorado.

There’s no way he leaves Colorado.

That’s what I wonder. Gotta have that signed.

MUCH lower level, but I was in talks with my previous station on getting the PM anchor job. They offered but they were 15k short of what I wanted. With an unsigned contract, they announced internally that I got the job. Of course, it leaked to the paper.

“But I didn’t sign it. We’re still negotiating, right “

“Nope. That’s the number. Take it or leave it.”

I took it and was sending out reels within 30 days and got the hell out.

I have memories of Deion leaving his baseball team in the middle of a game to report to an NFL camp.

You don't go from Mike Leach to Deion. There has to be someone in between.
