BTW, this oh people won’t stand for it, so let’s give up, is literally what got my friend killed. Literally. Masking is optional and let’s throw open the doors. Screw people with cancer. Screw that woman who was on the verge of remission. I need my hair cut. So miss me with your bullshit.

Let's always remember "I'm just asking a question" doesn't mean I have a better solution than the people who have literally spent their entire adulthood studying something under a nuclear microscope.

In fairness, we did ask him to talk about something else besides slurping his favorite Kremlin war criminal.

One thing I learned very early in my journalism career when I pushed back against an editor:

Me: "I think this should be changed" — without offering any constructive options.
Editor: "Well, what do you think it should be?"

    Lot of MMQBing going around.

Many people in the Trump administration, despite their boss' ignorance and malfeasance, and in the Biden White House did the best they could to roll out something that has helped millions of people and undoubtedly saved thousands if not millions of lives. The inconveniences were relatively minor compared to the alternative; everyone I know came out of it safe and healthy, knock on wood, because of it. Perhaps we should be grateful for what we do have.

Yes, I should have said shelter in place orders and partial economic shutdown.

The whole pandemic was a giant shit sandwich.

It’s important to remember that just because any one thing might’ve been the BEST option at that time doesn’t mean that thing was a GOOD option.

Probably because I know a lot of gymbros, I had a fair number of people posting contrarian “consider the other side of the story” shit. One actually thought Dr. Oz’s “Open up the schools and let the chips fall where they may” was a good idea. Hey. statistically a certain number of kids die from other things anyway and there are always trade offs, he said. “Isolate the sick and the elderly and let everyone else get on their lives” was also popular among this crowd. These people were a part of the problem. That was no time to consider other points of view. BTE, you were a part of the problem.

Yes, but to even question whether that thing was the best option was tantamount to throwing grandma from the train.
