The greatest moment of my life was when I had someone kicked out of my dad's wake. Yeah, I'm petty.

Hoping that Carter news is incorrect, though.

I literally just finished Kai Bird’s biography of him this morning.

I’d call that spooky, but the man is 98 years old.

Turns out he's might just be sick. Apparent false alarm.

How was it? American Prometheus is one of my all time favorites. I have Alter's Carter bio....but haven't read it yet.

Alter's book is very good. Very balanced, he doesn't pull punches on Carter's shortcomings. But it paints a pretty favorable picture of his administration and makes a pretty solid case that he had some impressive accomplishments beyond the Camp David Accords and what an unappreciated president he was.

Something that makes me chuckle from a people realize it's 2022 standpoint:
Biden signed the Respect For Marriage Act, and it's hardly made a ripple from a talking point perspective.
It's barely been mentioned here. Many news organizations had it as a sidebar.
Maybe it's a sign of good things to come that most folks seemingly see it as commonplace and not earth shattering.
