Watch that on a phone/small screen and it is Rory.

One of our best juniors played with Charlie down at the Notah Begay Jr. Championship. He was the defending champion so they set it up as part of a featured grouping. Pretty sweet opportunity for a 13-year-old to get a chance to walk a round with Tiger and his son.

Our guy finished T3 at 8-under. Charlie finished 11th at -1.

No, not for the 12-13 division. They played from 6,027 yards. Once they hit 14, they move to 7,023 yards.

Crap. I'd be sprawled out on a fairway after calling 9-1-1 about hole No. 13 if I had to walk 7,000 yards. Our senior group complains when they have to play cart path only.

I walk the nine-hole course I play regularly on the Cape. It's only 2900 yards (founded in 1895, ball still stuffed with feathers), but it is hilly. For the 18-hole public course I play, I use a cart, mostly because everybody else does, so it's necessary to keep up.

If it's cart path only, I prefer to walk. A lot of courses are going cart path only for the winter around here anyway to protect the grass. Certain courses around here have gigantic distances between holes that force the use of a cart though.

I would love to get out, but the winds here have been 30 and above out of the north, and haven’t seen a temperature that starts with a 5 in months.
I am hitting TopGolf next week for the first time, so that will be fun.
