Hokies with the schedule loss at BC last night. Four days before Christmas in front of dozens of onlookers at Conte Forum. There's never a good time to play up there, but that had to have been the worst possible time to play. Back in my days of covering hoops, I remember how checked out the players were for that last game before Christmas. Though it was usually a non-conference game.

So road games with no crowd are more difficult than those with a raucous, amped-up and packed house? I have never grasped that one.
Actually, most times are good times to play at BC. At .449, the Eagles' home winning % in ACC games is the second-worst in ACC history. Only Pitt (.417) is worse.
Having said all of that, I think the Hokies will be fine. Good team in a bad league.

    Izzo's gonna be a 1-timer, isn't he?

Does NIL cover all college sports or just football?

Everything. I think the top earner the first few months was some gymnast from LSU.

I don’t think there’s enough NIL money in the bank to make me want to wear a jersey with CLT across the front. Dear God I hope the women’s teams for Charlotte don’t have to wear those.
