The originals were who I was curious about. Glad they’re safe. Was unaware it’s now a collective. Thanks.

That is difficult, interesting, and heart-breaking.

The story has an anti-U.S./western lean, and exudes support for Russia. But, with friends like Russia, who needs enemies? Really, the story also exudes that sense, and I can't believe there's not more blame cast at the feet of Putin and Russia.

The reason for all of this, though? The difference?

Frankly, it's Zelensky. The leadership. That influence can't be overstated.

Sometimes, it makes all the difference, particularly in people's reactions and responses to a situation.

I don't get "support" for Russia from that article. It certainly contrasts the effectiveness of Russia's presence there (however heavy-handed) with the efforts of the U.S., the U.N. and the West generally. But I don't read that as "support" at all.
