Gladly send you all you want from Oregon; it's supposed to rain in Microville at least until Jan. 5. Winter in the PNW sucks your soul dry.

Odd fact I came across the other day: On average Dallas gets more rainfall (39 inches) annually than does Seattle (37 inches).

Sure. Dallas gets rain inches at a time. The PNW gets it .10-.25 a day for 4-5 straight months. Then summer hits and it won't rain from June through September.

Plus, 12 of Dallas' 39 inches are liberal tears.

Back in the 60s here and we’ll be in the 80s in time for the New Year’s Eve parties at the beach hotels
While I was in Ocala, I stopped at a place called Breakfast Station
One of the menu items was French toast with Cap’n Crunch batter deep fried
Sitting on a ledge above me was a big bottle of Log Cabin syrup
I didn’t order it but I considered asking the waitress to save time and just go ahead and inject the pure sugar into my vein

I was wondering why I had never seen that place, then looked at a map. I don't think I've ever been that far down Hwy 200.

Gotta like any menu item that includes the verb "dredged." Anyway . . .

Drove from southern Idaho to southern Wyoming to get ahead of the incoming atmospheric river and it was a deluge in all of Utah into the first 50 miles of Wyoming. Snow overnight, should be good to drive back home before snow overnight in the Mile High City. Saw the sun for maybe 20 minutes in Idaho after a lot of ice and fog.

We had our annual Christmas Eve oyster roast Saturday. We picked them up about 10 a.m. and just left them sitting out the rest of the day because it obviously wasn't too hot.
I popped a couple to eat raw about 4 p.m., and they had frozen... not solid, but they were crunchy.
