Now I want blood sausage. I was skeptical. It’s on my Mount Rushmore of food now.

You have never had a true Irish breakfast?

Nah. Just not a thing here. I didn’t have it until I went to a tapas place.

Mussels are good. There's a moules frites (mussels and fries) little sit-down stand in the main market (tented but outdoors) in Bordeaux, France that is one of my 10 favorite restaurants on earth.

I had many of them in Dublin three years ago and the Scottish equivalent several times in Glasgow (with haggis and blood pudding) in August. Keep you going all day.

Foley's in Manhattan did a good one, but sadly, one of the best baseball bars anywhere was also a victim of Covid...

What are your thoughts on Artichoke Pizza? Had a girl I was dating drag me there once and kinda' liked it.

I haven’t been to an Artichoke Basille’s in a few years, tbh. The one in the East Village used to be outstanding, like worth an outing kind of good. Then, they started opening new locations (or franchised it, I am not sure) and even the flagship restaurant went a bit downhill. Still really good, though.

I met one of the owners, Sal Basille, once. Funny guy, who was like a pizza savant when I got him going. He was really passionate and sincere about his love for what he does.

East Village was where I went. It was January of 2014, so I don’t know if the franchising had begun yet.

I am not certain, but I think in 2014, they were still focused on just making really good pizza, rather than opening airport locations.

They were all about the toppings, and they put a lot of care into how everything was prepared. People used to compare them to Dom from Di Fara in Brooklyn who used to come up on here all the time on pizza threads (I believe @Webster grew up eating his slices).
